How to Buy FIFA World Cup 2026 Tickets

The FIFA World Cup 2026 will be the biggest in history — 48 nations, 104 matches, three host countries. This guide walks you through the official FIFA sale phases, what you need to register, and how to maximise your chances of securing seats across USA, Canada and Mexico.

Where to buy: only FIFA.com/tickets is official

FIFA sells World Cup 2026 tickets exclusively through FIFA.com/tickets. Anything you see on resale sites, social media, or unaffiliated marketplaces is unofficial — and FIFA may invalidate tickets that aren't bought through official channels. Save the link, and only enter your card details on the FIFA domain.

Step 1 — Create a free FIFA ID

A FIFA ID is required for every sale phase. Sign up at FIFA.com with your real name (matching your passport), email and date of birth. You'll use the same FIFA ID for all matches and all venues.

Step 2 — Register in the ticket portal

Once a sale phase is announced, log into FIFA.com/tickets, complete the buyer profile (address, phone, payment method), and verify your email. Doing this early means you're ready the moment requests open.

Step 3 — Understand the official sale phases

  • Visa Presale Draw — Visa cardholders get first access via a random draw.
  • Early Ticket Draw — Open to all FIFA ID holders before the group stage draw.
  • Random Selection Draw — After the group stage draw, fans request specific team-based or venue-based tickets; winners chosen by lottery.
  • First-Come-First-Served — Remaining tickets and last-minute releases go on sale on a real-time basis. Be logged in early.

Step 4 — Pick the right ticket type

FIFA offers individual match tickets, Team Specific Ticket Series (follow one team through the tournament), and Venue Specific Ticket Series (all matches at a single stadium). Hospitality tickets sell separately through FIFA's hospitality partner.

Step 5 — Confirm, pay, and receive your tickets

If selected, FIFA emails you a payment deadline. Pay within the window or the seats are released back to the pool. Tickets are delivered digitally to the FIFA mobile app closer to kick-off — keep your email and FIFA ID details current.

Tips that actually move the needle

  • Register your FIFA ID before phases open — every minute matters in First-Come-First-Served.
  • Use a Visa card for the presale and have a backup payment method on file.
  • Flexible on dates? Apply for multiple matches across host cities to improve odds.
  • Check entry requirements: visa or ESTA/eTA may be needed for USA, Canada, or Mexico.
  • Never buy from resellers before official sale phases — FIFA can void those tickets.
